For the calcium in Bone-Protec we use a pure sourced, environmentally-friendly (above ground) Okinawan Coral Calcium and combine it with a non acidic form of magnesium which ensures maximum bio-availability of the calcium.
It is now also known that Vitamin K2, Strontium and Boron are additional essential nutrients if you want the calcium to go to the right place…your bones!
But, there are good and poor versions of all ingredients. Vitamin K is an example. The Vitamin K that we are using is not the common synthetic KI or K3 which focus on the liver. Instead, the natural Vitamin K2 used in Bone-Protec works directly in the bone and blood vessels to help regulate bone calcium.
This form of Vitamin K2 is expensive but as with all our products we never compromise with quality in our objective to give the world's best value for money. As an example, the price of a bottle of Bone-Protec is still less than what you pay for a bottle of Vitamin K2 alone... from Dr Mercola, even though it has the same amount of Vitamin K2...but nothing else other than fillers. (There are no additives or fillers in Bone-Protec)
Although Vitamin K2 is an essential component of an effective Bone formula it is only one of many. As an example, by including a powerful phytonutrient such as Mangosteen extract we give you the benefits of Xanthones which have been shown to inhibit Cox II enzymes (responsible for inflammation, swelling and pain).
Together with a good diet and moderate weight-bearing exercise, Bone-Protec may provide the help you need to reduce the risk of fractures and build denser and stronger bones.
Bone-Protec can be combined with other Xtend-Life products, in particular Total Balance and Omega 3/DHA Fish Oil for complete overall general health and essential organ care.
