Notes:
>> N/A means ‘Not Available’
>> IFOS although included in the table is not a recognized entity. It is a private organization and it is claimed by some ‘observers’ that it was established for the benefit of a few marketers of fish oil.
>> The Total Dioxins stated for IFOS may not be comparing ‘apples with apples’. The reason being is that IFOS do not reveal what standards they are testing to. We have asked them for clarification but cannot get a response. The levels of dioxins can be very misleading if the methodology is not clearly spelt out. For example, Xtend-Life tests 26 separate Dioxins and Furans, and 45 PCBs. The test uses USEPA methods and internationally accepted toxic equivalency factors. Many companies only test a fraction of these Dioxins which enable them to achieve a lot lower result. For this reason, and due to the lack of transparency we suspect that a simpler methodology has been adopted by IFOS.
Certificate of Analysis

* Rotational Testing
* < means less than. In case of the actual results of heavy metals it means that none were detected at that level so the amount present is less than that shown.
The certificate of analysis is verified by independent government certified laboratories.
