Top Tips to Keep Your Dog Happy and Healthy

Play! Dogs, love to play. Set aside time each day to play with your dog. In addition to the bond, you will create with your four-legged friend, play also provides an outlet for your dog's energy.

Exercise! Dogs need daily exercise, walk your dog daily, and you will both feel better for a regular walk. Make adjustments for age, and be mindful of environmental conditions too, such as extreme weather.

Water! Dogs need fresh clean water, all day - every day. Over the summer months, after a long walk, homemade frozen dog treats are sure to hit the spot. Chicken or beef broth are easy homemade dog treats, that are low in sodium.

Chew Toys!  Dogs have a physiological need to chew. Especially puppies. Providing them with safe chew toys will help them satisfy this urge while saving your shoes! Be sure to get rid of any toys that are falling apart.

Happy!  A happy dog is one who gets lots of belly rubs and ear scratches. When your dog associates with different people it has become well-socialized. Always be gentle, even when he does a no-no. No hitting allowed!
