Would you take health advice from Ozzy Osbourne?
Legendary heavy metal rocker, Ozzy Osbourne, will be the health columnist for Rolling Stone magazine…answering health-related questions from readers with selected answers being published in the magazine's July 23rd, August 6th and August 20th issues.
Believe it or not, this won’t be the first time that Osbourne will feature as a ‘health guru’. According to The Huffington Post. “He began writing a similar column for the UK's Sunday Times earlier this year.”
So what credentials does he have? Well, he’s hardly a medical expert that’s for sure. However, due to his infamous reputation for having been a heavy drug user who drank excessively (at one point up to four bottles of cognac a day), Osbourne’s health columns may help encourage readers to follow healthier lifestyles and avoid going down the same road as he did.
Osbourne’s body has taken so much of a battering from over four decades of drug abuse that even scientists are bewildered by the fact that he’s still alive.
According to NY Daily News, researchers are even mapping Ozzy’s genetic code in the hope that his “genome will help reveal why some people's bodies can tolerate excessive substance abuse more than others.”
We’ll keep an eye on the abovementioned issues of Rolling Stone magazine and will comment further on what Ozzy has to say in his columns.
In the meantime, we suggest you use common sense and stick to reading the Xtend-Life blog and website for suggestions on how to help improve your body’s natural health and wellness…taking the advice of a heavy metal rocker with a pinch of salt.
